Lions Camp Kanga.
Camp Kanga is a non-profit making recreational
camp owned and operated by 70 Lions Clubs of North Queensland. The primary role
of the camp is to provide the necessary resources to schools, church and community
groups, sporting clubs and the private sector to assist in fulfilling their
curriculum
goals and supporting their developmental plans in a healthy, safe, outdoor or
indoor environment.
The camp is situated on the beautiful everflowing Proserpine River set amongst
the rugged picturesque landscape of the scenic rim of Lake Proserpine at the
Peter Faust Dam. Lions Camp Kanga is a lovely secluded campsite only 23 km west
of Proserpine and about 45 minutes bus travel from Airlie Beach, Shute Harbour
and the Whitsundays.
