40 teams of 2 anglers was not surprised to see that the lake had kept its promise of a windy start to FDFSA's, Lake Proserpine Catch & Release Tournament yet again. Lunch under the Elders Marque at the top of the ramp was once again the spot to tell of the temper tantrums that was had by few and not to mention frustration. After each days fishing and back at the camp, there was a lot of chatter and discussion, catching up and general talk; of the fish they saw and couldn't catch, how lines are hooked up to offen in the trees, tackle failure, boat failure, and the calm mornings rolling into almost meter high waves by mid morning. A lot of trolling was done but patience and balance; casting was still the order of the weekend.
The challenging weather saw our anglers raise and catch a total of 106 Barra and 13 sooties.
Saturday evening’s Presentation revealed the winners and results.
Food and drinks as usual was plentiful and a good time was had by all.
Faust Dam Fish Stocking Association Inc. are appreciative to have the Whitsunday Businesses sponsoring the trophies for the Tournament and industry groups donating gifts and recognising the value of supporting the stock impoundment fishing in this area.

The lake Proserpine Invitational Catch and Release
Tournament is held on the second weekend in October of each year. The tournament
is restricted to 35 teams of two anglers and is fished using lures or fly. Anglers may fish with open class line up to 50lb.
