Pest or Exotic Fish.
PEST FISH
Did you know that pest or exotic fish are
the same as the fish you have at home in your fish tank.
And most other species you get from the
pet shop are all classeified as an exotic or pest fish when released into dams
or open ended streams.
They have the ability to breed at prolific rates and by doing so place a lot
of pressure on the native fish stocks that occur naturally.
Please dispose of unwanted fish by taking
them back to your local pet shop, not by letting them go in our water ways. Look
after our systems and their ecological balance, because once they are polluted
with these foreign fish the natural habitats are gone forever.
